Although the designer+celebrity collaborations never seem to end, this one is definitely worth a peek. Zooey Deschanel has been putting her pretty blue eyes and fabulously quirky style to good use lately by collaborating with Oliver Peoples to make an ultra-chic collection of sunglasses with a very cool feature!
Not only are the sunnies gorgeous, when the lenses are fogged with your breath, the lenses actually display a logo in the shape of her kissing lips. The same, super-cute lip print is featured on the cleaning cloth that comes with the shades, which resembles a cocktail napkin. It is these cute little touches that remind us why we love Ms Deschanel.
The frames have a sassy, smart and sophisticated vintage-inspired 1960s-era Hollywood look and feature a custom Oliver Peoples metal plaque with ridged detailing at the end pieces.
“Doing the Oliver Peoples campaign was amazing because I would never want to be involved with a product unless I actually loved it,” says Deschanel. “And I love their glasses!” she gushed. “I wanted to make a pair of sunglasses that was classic and timeless that could be worn by a man or a woman. And it was really fun designing them.”
Each pair is hand-crafted and guaranteed to inject some of Zooey’s unique personal style into your wardrobe. And a portion of proceeds from the pre-sale went to Zooey’s charity, the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program based in South-Central Los Angeles that offers legal and rehabilitation services at no cost to clients.
