Latest Jeans Fashion

Youth always goes forward without any visible barriers on the way. This category is the most advanced every time. The concept "fashion" is very actual for youth. Schoolboys, students, young workers – all of them are representatives of country culture and separate subcultures. Questions «What can I wear? How? What for and when?» interest young consumers. Despite political views and national identity, the most popular clothes in the youth are jeans. They are convenient, reliable and give us the chance to show up.

Everybody wears jeans: persons of royal blood, presidents and prime-ministers, inhabitants of Brooklyn slums. We must thank the hippies for revolution in jeans fashion.
Even American aborigines, Indians, have noticed an advantage of jeans over capes from skins of animals, they began to wear «cowboy's clothes».
Jeans and jersey are suitable for sports and rest. It is very important for youth that jeans are convenient and comfortable. A classical variant of the average teenager is: gumshoes, a T-shirt 2 sizes bigger, a cap with the big peak and, certainly, shabby jeans. As for youth it is peculiar to wear jeans in school, at work and in institute. In every educational centre we can see that minimum more than half of all pupils wear jeans. It shows their popularity and indispensability.

Some words about clothes for girls. Jeans help them to stress their neat figures. Even though female variants with the underestimated waist, a special cut and a style, began to produce not long ago, they could enter into our life life adequately. And it would be desirable to tell: «The best friends of girls are Jeans».
One of the major factors of clothes choice is an idols imitation. Youth tries on all novelties from the fashion world. It is necessary to remember our imitations when we were children. We could imitate everything: acts, intonations of the voice, expressions (e.g. “I’ll be back” A.Schwarzenegger), fashion manners. Do you remember? And the majority of them has been dressed in (as you have already guessed) Jeans. The general love to jeans undertakes from the childhood.

Ladies Jeans Fashion

I can just simply imagine which pair of jeans you might be wearing right now. Is it a pair of skinny jeans which made a recommendable comeback or the ultra casual cropped jeans which brings your mood into the right tone for casual late evening walks and parties or it is a pair of all time hit baggy jeans which soothes your soul with its comfortableness?
There are a thousand reasons, boosting my belief that you must be wearing one of those three. Out of those thousand reasons, one is pretty obvious. The “pretty obvious” reason is the tips given in the first part, Wearing Jeans ? Apply These Rules, of this write-up. There we discussed a lot how to wear some certain types of jeans.
Now tell me which one you are wearing right now. All right! It is your personal issue. Wear whatever jeans you can. But there are many more types of jeans still left to be donned. So keeping with the lines of the first part, here is the concluding part comprising three more jeans with some more tips and tricks helping to wear them :
Hipster Jeans : Whether you have flabby bums or skinny thighs or short legs or whatever, a hipster jeans is a one-stop-solution to all your fashion and personality related issues. Such jeans are designed to fit all and everyone.
If you posses a big radius below your naval part, then wear a hipster jeans with a designer belt. A big metal buckle on your belt will be flattering which will make your waist look smaller. It is better not to keep anything in the back pockets. Keeping wallets etc. makes your bums look bigger. Try out a back-pocket-less hipster jeans.
It is one of the most recommendable jeans wear for a lady who has just given birth to a baby. It not only gives you much needed comfort but also hides all the post labor marks around the waist rather successfully.
Try out a hipster this season with metallic tank tops or t-shirts with floral prints. You will look fabulous. Pairing with jute products gives a look unseen before. Boots and heels are the mostly used footwear with hipster jeans. However, stilettos and sandals too are used a lot.
Boyfriend Jeans : Only Katie Holmes can tell you why one earth something is called a boyfriend jeans. If you can't find her, let me tell you. Once she came out wearing a borrowed jeans from her hubby Tom Cruise and sensationalized the fashion world.
However, you are not required to do the same. Thus instead of borrowing it from the boy of your life, you simple roll into the nearest store and buy such a pair. Undoubtedly, its baggy and loose fitting will give you masculine look.
Faded and mildly ripped boyfriend jeans are a rage these days. The older a boyfriend jeans looks, the sexier it makes you look. Though it is a natural loose-fit jeans wear, it doesn't mean that you will cross all the limits. Try out something which fits well on your bums.
For those who have semi-fleshy bums, placed upon their beautiful curvy and athletic pair of legs, it is a must have fashion apparel in their wardrobes. Wearing such jeans will make them look fuller. However, it has to be straight-legged.
Try out a crisp white shirt, full sleeved or half sleeved, with a boyfriend jeans. Don't forget to wear sunglasses with gold hued frame. Even red t-shirts or pink tank tops do a wonder. There metallic versions too have become a trend. Sweatshirts too work.
Wearing a boyfriend jeans with high heels can be the most flattering for a lady with a short height. However, such a combination suits everyone. Sandals and boots too can be worn.
Flared Jeans : Believe it or not! The flared jeans are probably the most sought after jeans by all the celebrities. Be them tennis players, Hollywood stars, pop singers or whosoever they are, all see their wardrobes as a dull hollow place without these womens clothings.
Also, believe it or not! It is most suitable for taller women. So the women with short legs should keep themselves at a safe distance from such jeans, most of the time.
So tall ladies! If you love to wear something which resembles the jeans of your mother's youth, then grab a flared jeans. It was widely famous 1n 70s. It has got another condition too. Apart from being a taller one, if you own curvy and athletic thighs then it is the most suitable for you.
Though these can be worn with leather jackets and shirts, the most befitting look it gives a wearer when worn with a well fit high-neck. Imagine wearing a deep blue flared jeans with a yellow high-neck. Get a hair up-do done and wear big metallic earrings. Try boob tubes or tank tops.

Jeans Fashion

http://www.youthpassion.com/images/jeans_butt.jpgJeans are trousers made from denim. Jeans, originally designed for work, became popular among teenagers starting in the 1950s. Historic brands include Levi's, Lee and Wrangler. Jeans come in various types, for example, skinny jeans, boot cut, or flare.

Jeans are now a very popular form of casual dress around the world, and have been so for decades. They come in many styles and colors; however, "blue jeans" are particularly identified with American culture, especially the American Old West. Americans spent more than $14 billion on jeans in 2004 and spent 15 billion in 2005.[1]

The word "jeans" comes from the French phrase bleu de Gênes, literally the blue of Genoa. Jeans fabric, or denim, originated independently in two places the French town of Nîmes, from which 'denim' (de Nîmes) gets its name; and in India, where trousers made of denim material were worn by the sailors of Dhunga, which came to be known as dungarees.[2] The advent of American style denim over-alls introduced a new era for this fast-growing textile industry. Randy Bister, a potato farmer from South Carolina, was the first to utilize "over-alls" as farm attire.

At the same time, denim trousers were made in Chieri, a town near Turin (Italy), during the Renaissance, and were popularised in the 19th century. These trousers were sold through the harbour of Genoa, which was the capital of the independent Republic of Genoa which was long an important naval and trading power. Early examples of trousers were made for the Genoese Navy, which required all-purpose pants for its sailors. They required pants that could be wet or dry, the legs of which could be worn while swabbing the deck. These were laundered by dragging them in nets behind the ship hip, and the sea water and sun would gradually bleach them to white. They were worn by Genoan sailors and stevedores in France.

Men's Shirt Collars

http://www.oneinhundred.com/upfiles/upimg8/Men-s-3-oz--60--cotton-40--pol-5952348.jpgMen's dress shirt collars come in all different colors, sizes, and styles. However, one thing holds true for all of them: They are the frame for the face. Regardless of the type of jacket or tie, ones shirt collar is always visible, and plays a major role in determining how the wearer's face will appear to observers. Choosing the right shirt collar will ensure you enhance your facial strengths while downplaying any irregularities. Collars come in a variety of individual styles, though there are two main types: Turndown collars and wing collars.

Turndown Collars
Turndown collars are the staple found on gentlemen's shirts, and offer the most opportunity for individual taste. These collars, as the name suggests, are turned down, forming a sort of triangle whose angles vary with the particular look one is aiming for. Although there are countless variations, the turndown collar comes in two main categories: the point and the cutaway.

Men's Dress Shirt Collar Straight PointPoint Collar- The point collar is the most common collar style, where the collar is cut so that the "points" are reasonably close together, sometimes to the extent that they almost hide the top portion of a tie. Longer, more closely set points tend to draw the eye down towards the tie and away from the face, while a more moderate cut frames the tie and completes the arrow effect pointing at the face.
Men's Dress Shirt Collar SpreadCutaway or Spread Collar - The second popular style is the cutaway, or spread collar. These collars have the points "cut away" or spread – thus the name – revealing more of the upper shirt area and leaving additional room for larger knots such as the Windsor. Like the point, spread collars come in a variety of widths, with more moderate ones resembling slightly flared point collars, while more extreme versions can be nearly horizontal. The particular dimensions are best left to the wearer's preference and body type, with very wide spreads tending to accentuate wider figures while creating a more fully proportioned look on thin gentlemen.
Men's Dress Shirt Collar Button DownButton Down Collars - The button-down collar style is most often seen on more casual shirts. These collars have small buttonholes at the very tip of each point, corresponding to a small button on each side of the shirtfront. While this collar can be worn successfully with a tie, it is the least formal of all the collar choices and is an excellent choice for the man looking to leave the tie behind. The buttons on the collar, however, are always fastened; to appear with undone collar buttons would be a faux pas.
Pin CollarPin and Tab Collars - It is also worth mentioning two lesser known collars, which although neglected by many ready made shirt manufactures, are none the less still popular with dandies in the know. The first is the Pin collar: this collar has small holes in each point, allowing the insertion of a decorative pin or bar behind the tie knot, which thrusts the tie knot forward and up while adding extra decoration to the collar itself. The second, the Tab collar, employs a small tab extending from the middle of each point, which is fixed together – usually with a hook-and-loop closure – behind the tie. Like the pin collar, this forces the tie forward and up, creating the "standing" look of more elaborate knots. Neither the pin or tab collar should be worn without a tie; the empty holes and flapping tabs present an untidy appearance.
Wing Collars
Wing collars – familiar to most as the collar frequently worn with the tuxedo – consists of a short shirt collar with no turndown, and two small "wings" at the front which are tucked behind the bow-tie. These collars are reserved for formalwear, and the gentleman need not give them particular consideration unless morning or evening dress is required.
The choice of collar style is a matter of personal preference that a gentleman must determine for himself. There are guidelines, but the rules are not so rigid that one can’t experiment to see what looks best. When having shirts custom made, remember that all of these collars can be cut at angles and lengths that best frame your features. Once you have accomplished this, you can walk with the confidence accorded to the well dressed man.

sunglasses fashion

Although the designer+celebrity collaborations never seem to end, this one is definitely worth a peek. Zooey Deschanel has been putting her pretty blue eyes and fabulously quirky style to good use lately by collaborating with Oliver Peoples to make an ultra-chic collection of sunglasses with a very cool feature!

Not only are the sunnies gorgeous, when the lenses are fogged with your breath, the lenses actually display a logo in the shape of her kissing lips. The same, super-cute lip print is featured on the cleaning cloth that comes with the shades, which resembles a cocktail napkin. It is these cute little touches that remind us why we love Ms Deschanel.

The frames have a sassy, smart and sophisticated vintage-inspired 1960s-era Hollywood look and feature a custom Oliver Peoples metal plaque with ridged detailing at the end pieces.

“Doing the Oliver Peoples campaign was amazing because I would never want to be involved with a product unless I actually loved it,” says Deschanel. “And I love their glasses!” she gushed. “I wanted to make a pair of sunglasses that was classic and timeless that could be worn by a man or a woman. And it was really fun designing them.”
Each pair is hand-crafted and guaranteed to inject some of Zooey’s unique personal style into your wardrobe. And a portion of proceeds from the pre-sale went to Zooey’s charity, the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program based in South-Central Los Angeles that offers legal and rehabilitation services at no cost to clients.

Pocket Square &Handkerchief

Pocket squares come in a variety of colors and patterns. These are appropriate to most ensembles, and should be chosen to contrast with the shirt and tie while still being set off against the color of the jacket. What one should look for in a pocket square is coordinated contrast. That is to say, a combination of pattern and fabric that is different than the suit, shirt, and tie, but not so unlike as to clash.
Solid White Handkerchiefs - Linen and Cotton
Perhaps the most classic dress handkerchief is the solid white square, made of linen or cotton. Depending on the chosen fold, it may be lightly starched to provide body. The white square is acceptable for almost any ensemble but looks particularly good with dark, conservative suits where its crisp clean appearance is most pronounced.
Men's handkerchief's Make
Silk squares are what a gentleman is most likely to encounter in the department store; many have dozens of options on display. These handkerchiefs come in nearly every color and pattern imaginable, and offer far more opportunity to make a bold and distinctive statement. By the same token, these are also the handkerchiefs that produce much of the stress associated with wearing a square, as the variety of colors and patterns presents what can seem a daunting choice. One particular detail to note when choosing a silk square are hand-rolled edges; these are a sign of quality and attention to detail and should be present on a well-made square.

Remember when selecting the type of fabric for a dress handkerchief, the fabric of the jacket and tie should be considered. Mix silk squares with heavier tie fabrics, and more textured handkerchiefs with smooth ties is an excellent way to add contrast, while silk squares against a rough jacket like tweed is particularly distinctive. Wool suits, the most common option, are equally at home with linen or silk, as are silk ties – indeed, the variety of patterns available in silk may require a silk square for some ensembles.
Men's handkerchief's ColorHandkerchief Patterns
In choosing pattern for a square, one should look to the most brightly colored or patterned item in the ensemble. In most cases, this will be the tie, though should it be the shirt, or even in some cases the suit itself, that element should be given focus. One has nearly every color and pattern to choose from, though this will obviously be constrained by the examples available in ones wardrobe. With solid ensembles, patterns are particularly distinctive, and while solid squares may seem a safer choice for patterned ties, a contrasting patterned square provides a very elegant look.
Handkerchief Color
As for color, it's best to determine the base color for whatever item is being matched then opt for a complementing color. Also, it is best not to match the square directly to a prominent color; instead, match it to a secondary color as an accent. As with everything else in classic style, the choice of color should also be mindful of the occasion; though it is only a few inches of visible material, a boldly colored square might well be out of place at a funeral or wedding.

Zimmermann Swimwear

Zimmerman Swimwear is rolling in-stores from the catwalks as a fresh ocean wave. Although it is still a bit too cold for us in Sydney to take a dip in the ocean, get your imagination racing and hot looks ready with these images from the Zimmermann Cruise 2009/2010 swimwear collection.

The new collection caters for all kinds of women within the 2010 trends we were exposed to during RAFW of cutaway bikinis or monokinis, single-shouldered pieces, side-tie briefs, halter-necks, strapless and more. As well as their signature cool sophistication, there are bold colours and ethnic prints as well as summer floral patterns from risqué femme fatale to innocent flirty girl. It all feels very fresh and fun with the range of playful choices.

The Australian fashion label which started over 16 years ago by the Zimmermann sisters has grown and stayed true to its original vision: sophisticated femininity, strong silhouettes, clever colour combinations, delicate original prints with an eye for quality fabrics and unique cuts. Whilst we are getting updates of Summer fun from friends holidaying in the Mediterranean right now, we are now looking forward to our own Aussie summer to get started. We also fancy the idea that the swimwear can be extended into pool-party or evening cocktail wear…

Mango Spring Summer

Hola from beautiful Barcelona on the east coast of Spain! Fashion in Spain is very different to Australia… like REALLY different but very refreshing. The Spanish ladies love their lightweight, flowing dresses packed with organic colours (have not seen one mini-skirt in 2 weeks thank God) and then accessorised with endless jewellery plus a pair of killer heels almost cracking the floor beneath them.
As for the gents, slim, lightweight metallic-coloured suits seem to be in for their office wear. To compliment the suits, a slim-fitted shirt and slim tie never fail to please. As for night attire, embroidered tops with a fitted pair of jeans and a good pair of Spanish or Portuguese leather shoes. A simple clean and elegant look gets the lady tourists frothing at the mouth.
The brand I want to focus on in this dribble, is Barcelona’s own Mango a.k.a MNG. Many of the ladies would be familiar with the main Australian store in the Galleries Victoria in Sydney. You will be able to find what I am seeing in Spain now, in MNG Summer 09/10 in Sydney which I find down right impressive. Unfortunately, for us guys, we will have to wait for the HE (Homini Emerito) collection to hit Australia if at all… I heard a rumour but not sure how reliable that source is but fingers crossed. Feel free to enquire Mango directly about the menswear, perhaps it will speed things up! In the meantime, for an alternate for the menswear, Calibre and Satch have some similar pieces coming through.
In Spain, it seems as if it is a religion to shop at MNG. As I sit sipping on a cold smoothie analysing the MNG shop front I ask myself – what recession? If it is affecting Barcelona I have yet to see it. People in Spain really go that extra mile to make themselves look the very best and they do this admittedly to which I say; Bravo! A lot of people I met on my journey have said they save up to buy simply the best. Why? Because it makes them feel better. This does reflect through the Spanish way of life via hospitality, friendliness and generosity, a very happy bunch of people. Adios from Spain!

Camper Shoes fashion

Spain seems to be the hotspot to watch right now as we keep receiving sizzling updates from this colourful place from various friends. Spanish-born designer Jaime Hayon grew up in Madrid’s skateboard and graffiti art culture, and has a big name within industrial design. After about 8 years spearheading the Design Department of Benetton-funded Fabrica, he founded his own Hayon Studio. The multiple award-winning designer has recent projects including Camper shoes which we think could suit a guy with style.
Available in an array of colours and two different models, a soft-leather slip-on and a lace-up, the Camper is a fusion between a sporty dance shoe and a classic dress shoe. There are also some hidden surprises such as the feel of the laces or the linen interior, the mix of materials and the quality of its manufacturing. The colour choices allow the shoes to be picked out for all types of occasions and seasons – from conservative busi
ness meetings to crazy summer nights out in town.
Hayon himself says; “I wanted to find a form that stylised the foot, like the tap dancing shoes. I have always liked the character of dance shoes because they remind me of a music-hall. I wanted to make a simple shoe but one that had character, in solid colours but that were special enough to give identity to a way of dressing. If for me, and also for many others, glasses are important in creating the personality of a person, I think that shoes should be so too”

Today, men's dress shoes have moved beyond the expected (some might think "boring") black or brown lace-up. Though not quite as varied as women's selections, ShoeMall carries thousands of men's dress shoes to suit any guy's situation, mood or wardrobe - from traditional to trendy.
Classic men's dress shoes such as wing tips, loafers and oxfords are constantly being revived with a twist by shoe designers; they may have an edgier cut around the toes or a thicker sole. And just like with most things, technology has increased the expectation of formerly stiff, uncomfortable men's dress shoes: comfort, affordability and activity levels need to meet the demands of the modern man.
Kenneth Cole Reaction men's dress shoes are a perennial favorite due to their top-shelf construction, nuanced style and gorgeous leathers. They carry everything from a classic dress heel to snakeskin-textured leather for the guy who wants to be noticed. Stacy Adams men's dress shoes have been part of the American lifestyle for more than 125 years. Offering styles that have been around since the company's beginning with new models reflecting today's trends, you'll find world-class craftsmanship and the flair of a bygone era.
With an equally impressive résumé, for over 113 years Florsheim has been synonymous with quality men's dress shoes since their beginnings in a small workshop in Chicago. Today, Florsheim men's dress shoes are still valued and respected worldwide.
Contrary to their name, men's dress shoes can be loafers, as long as they still look professional and polished. Many men swear by those made by Giorgio Brutini, whose signature sleek styling is bursting with urban attitude.
To really get the most out of your men's dress shoes, be sure to keep them clean and polished and looking their best. Have a shoeshine kit on hand: you'll need a tin of wax polish, a horsehair shine brush, shoe polish applicator, cotton balls and a shine cloth to really do it right. And it's worth the effort, because polished shoes reflect well on you.

Different Types of Dress Shoes

http://www.shoemall.com/assets/category_files/image/AMensDressShoes.jpg

Dress shoes come in many styles, and each has its place. The particular constructions and colors one chooses are surely a matter of personal style. Nonetheless, there are a few conventions one should keep in mind when selecting shoes for purchase, or deciding which pair to don on a particular day. In general, the sleeker the shoe, the more formal; black is generally more formal than brown. Lace-ups rank ahead of slip-ons, and closed lacing is a notch above open lacing. (In the closed lacing construction, the sides of the shoe emerge from the top side by side and fan slightly outward to form a V where the laces tie them together. A shoe with open lacing has separate side pieces folded over the tongue to meet at the center). Broguing--rows or patterns of perforations--take shoes down in formality, the more so the more there are.
The Oxford Dress Shoe
The gold standard of dress shoes, the Oxford features round toes, usually with a cap, and closed lacing. Plain cap-toe Oxfords are the most formal option for business wear, and can do double-duty as formal shoes. Oxfords with broguing along the cap's edge, or trimming the uppers, are still formal enough for a worsted wool suit; 'full brogues' are more appropriate with tweed or flannel. If you own one pair of dress shoes, they should be black Oxfords; Allen-Edmonds Park Avenue's, made in the United States, are an irreproachable selection and well worth their price.
The Wingtip Dress Shoe
The wing-tip, with a brogued cap coming to a point at the center of the top curving back and down along the sides, is suit-level in black and business casual in brown. In the United States, it is associated by many with Ronald Reagan and the eighties in general, and in any country it is going to draw some attention to itself. This is not necessarily a bad thing, of course, but it does reduce the shoe's potential for frequent wear: while you might wear the same pair of brown Oxford's three days a week without anyone noticing, the man who wears wing-tips more than weekly risks having them integrated into his reputation.

The Derby and Blucher
The derby is similar in shape to the Oxford, but bears open lacing. It is still appropriate for wear with a suit, and supports a khakis-and-blazer look more naturally than the Oxford. The blucher is a slightly sleeker open-laced shoe of similar versatility. Plain or with a brogued cap, these dress shoes will match a suit in formality; with more decoration they carry a blazer well. In suede, rather than smooth leather, these are among the best shoes to wear with jeans or khakis.
Boots
Dress boots bring some ruggedness to dress footwear, making them a worthy option in the winter. In addition, their slip on and off feature along with superior comfort make them a favorite among travelers and those not requiring the formality of the oxford. In the same family, but of a more regional nature, is the cowboy boot. Although men like former Texas congressional representative Charlie Wilson could pull this off, most men might want to skip on this unless they are an oil magnate.
Loafer and Monkstrap
Slip-on shoes are casual by nature. Those appropriate for business casual wear include bit loafers, with a mettle link across the middle; monkstraps, with a buckle closure; and penny loafers, with a slotted leather band across the top. Tassel loafers, which are exactly what they sound like, are accepted as business formal in some circles while relegated to weekend wear in others.

White Bucks
White bucks are Oxfords made of white buckskin, a rough leather than in reality is not exactly white. They are the traditional companion to the seersucker suit, and equally complement such summer fabrics as tan gabardine and white linen. Thus, they could be called professional between Memorial Day and Labor Day, or during whatever one considers summer.

Black Tie Dress Shoes
Patent leather Oxfords are the most formal of men's shoes; they are standard with a tuxedo, and clash with most everything else. Opera pumps, shiny black slippers with a bow on top, are another option for formal wear.

Sports Coat

http://web.inetba.com/jacodistributorsinc/images/page25.jpgPants are not the focal point of a man's outfit; rather, their job is to draw the eye upward to your jacket or downward to your shoes, perhaps subtly flattering your legs. Additionally, since the legs move so much, a pattern that appears elegant on the torso becomes jarring below. It is no wonder, therefore, that virtually all men's pants sold today are solids.

Gray, that most neutral of colors, does the job best. Whoever wears a sport coat, wherever and however he wears it, cannot go wrong pairing it with gray flannels. This wonderful fabric is made from Merino wool, and comfortably warm in fall, winter and spring. Softer than worsted, it does not hold a crease with the same rigidity as its more formal cousin. This makes it the ideal complement to the sport coat, given the latter's heritage as dignified causal wear.

Just as the gray suit looks good with any shirt and tie, so do gray trousers provide a sure footing for any sport coat ensemble. They work with brown or black shoes, from oxfords to loafers (although most jackets have a slightly narrower range). There is no color or pattern of shirt, tie, or jacket with which it clashes. That means that once you have picked out a combination of these three that complement each other well, you're done! Step into your gray flannels and you are guaranteed a harmonious outfit. This does not imply that gray flannels are an easy way out of the sometimes difficult task of color and pattern matching. Indeed, Fred Astaire, one of the best dressed men of the twentieth century and one renowned for his daring agility in mixing fabrics, wore gray flannel trousers more often than not. There's plenty of room to be interesting above the waist and below the ankles.

Color aside, the texture of flannel is dressy enough for a blazer and tie while maintaining a long reach down the formality spectrum. With a turtleneck in your favorite color, they're comfortable and casual, perfect for a Fall Saturday morning at home. When it comes time to go out, you can don any jacket in your closet without worrying about whether it will match your bottoms. Herein lies another of these pants' advantages: They look just as good without a jacket as they do with one, allowing you to easily adjust the formality of your attire during the day without having to change.

Any sport coat will look good with a variety of pants. Better, though, that you own a variety of sport coats, and keep the pants simple and functional. Gray flannels go brilliantly with any jacket, and without compromising its versatility or allure. They will last for years, and like the classic navy blazer, they will never go out of style.

Importance of Proper Fit

Men's Sports Jacket ButtoningContrary to popular belief, men's dress clothes should always be comfortable. If they are not, it is the fault of the clothes' fit, and not of their nature. Suffering for beauty's sake does not do a man any good, either: if the fit of a garment makes its wearer uncomfortable, he will look it. Indeed, a man looks his best when his clothes fit so well he barely notices them. On the other hand, if they are too tight, they will be pulling and choking at every turn; too loose, and a man looks like he has had to borrow some clean clothes from his older brother as he struggles to keep them out of the way. A man's clothes send a message to the world about him, and if they fit him well, he will always make a good impression.

Most men today wear poorly-fitting clothes, and it is not hard to see why. The goods sold in stores are cut to fit as many people as possible, and that means big. At the same time, the fashion-industrial complex creates new so-called styles by bending or breaking the time-honored traditions in menswear; thus it is Men's Grey Jacket with Blue Stripesthat designers and commentators may debate whether baggy or fitted pants are 'in' this season while neither look as good as the timeless middle-ground. A good deal of men still rely on women to hold their hands through shopping trips, but since the prerogatives of fit are altogether different for women's clothing, the results are often sorry. Finally, when you are buy a garment, the retailer has little incentive to tailor it properly, since nobody seeks out a mall store because he's heard they do great alterations. Thus as in so many things, it falls to each man to take responsibility for the fit of his own clothes, and not to be swayed by the prolific selection of poor choices or the dubious influence of models, salesmen, and the opposite sex.

The first step in acquiring properly fitting clothes is knowing what proper fit looks like. In general, clothes should be comfortable, but not loose. Pants should be worn at the natural waist, near the navel. Young people with flat stomachs may choose to wear them lower, as has been the style for a decade or so, but they gain little in doing so. The man with a belly, on the other hand, looks much better with high-rise trousers draping from his middle than with his stomach spilling over a low-rise waistband.
Men's Trousers Cuff Break and LengthThe bottoms should touch your shoes' uppers, but of course must not touch the ground. The most standard length brushes the top edge of the sole at the back, for a slight break in the front. Shorter pant legs, just brushing the tops of the shoes, can look better on the shorter man, and also allow one to show off his socks and shoes should he care to do so. Additionally, men under 5'9" do better without cuffs on their trousers, but should they want them they should be in proportion to their stature, 1¼"-1½", while men over six feet take cuffs 1¾"-2".

Men's Jacket Length and Cuff LengthIf a jacket, meanwhile, is to have any hope of looking good, it must fit correctly in the chest and shoulders. When you stand with your jacket buttoned and arms hanging loosely at your sides, the jacket's lapels should lie flat against the front panels, the buttons should hang close to or rest lightly on your stomach, and your biceps should just barely break the drape of sleeve from shoulder. Of the many other factors involved in fitting a jacket, the chest and shoulders are the most important and the hardest to alter. Your shirt should always be tighter than your jacket, lest you end up with clumps of fabric which have no place to go. The cuffs should protrude ¼"-½" from the jacket's sleeves when you stand with arms hanging; the collar should cover ½"-1" of your neck above the jacket collar. There is of course much more to say about the fit of these and other garments; these points are intended merely to illustrate the basic idea of fit.

Men's Suit to Shirt Neck RelationhshipLet me note here that buying clothes that fit means buying clothes that fit your body, as it is, and not measuring them to an idealized vision you have of yourself. Many men, when getting measured for a suit, will stick out their chests and stretch their spines, striving toward some idealized masculine figure. Unless this is how you stand normally, though, this is not how you should be measured. You can round your height up an inch on your driver's license, but you only hurt yourself by embellishing for your tailor. Similarly, in certain cultures where weight loss is an obsession, some men succumb to the folly of 'buying skinny.' That is, they buy clothes one size too small, anticipating a perfect fit when they lose weight. This is a dangerous proposition, both for one's bank account and one's self-esteem, and it is also misguided. Almost any shirt, sweater, or jacket that fits you well will still fit well if you gain or lose ten pounds. Pants are the most sensitive, but even these will withstand small fluctuations. When your waistline does shrink or grow by a half inch or more, they can easily be altered, often several inches in either direction. Unless you are still going through puberty, you have nothing to gain by selecting clothes which do not fit your body as it is today.

Tattoos Body Art

Tattoo Body Art
Tattoos are beautiful body art which make an ultimate fashion statement. The tattoo designs not only beautify the body but also depict the mental state of a person. Its quite a rage among men and women equally. Ladies prefer to go for small intricate designs while men like to flaunt huge dragon fly kind of designs to look have a Gothic look. In fact, the designs vary as per the ladies tattoos and gents tattoos. Getting a tattoo done is a painful process, besides it also calls for special care and precautions once its done.

Below are few tips which should be followed before getting a tattoo made:

  • The very first thing to look out for before getting a tattoo done is the instruments used by the tattoo artist. Do ensure that the tattoo artist is using sterilized disposable instruments. Also, make sure that the artist is using fresh ink for every session. Sterilized instruments and fresh ink are extremely important for a safe and bacteria or septic free tattoo engravings.
  • It is better to go through the portfolio or signature designs of the tattoo artist beforehand. This would give you a fair idea about the designing capabilities of the tattoo artist and thus, it would be a lot more easier for you to decide whether you should get the tattoo made from him/her or not.
  • One has to be absolutely easy and relaxed while getting the tattoo done. Too much of nervousness and fidgeting can spoil the design and the concentration of the tattoo artist.
  • Make the tattoo artist to wash his hands with a sanitizing agent and cover the hands with latex gloves as a precautionary measure.

Historical Evolution of Fashion

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OMU8vR8Fbzk/R1P7130JAeI/AAAAAAAABCA/WNZXJLJ4Zo0/s1600-R/ikea-fashion2.jpgAlmost every woman nurtures an innate desire of looking good and feel 'accepted' in the socio-economic circle. The word fashion instantaneously brings to mind a flash of color with a dash of glamor. Women are taking to fashion in a big way, and are experimenting with different looks, styles, and textures. Let's take a look at the dynamic evolution of fashion worldwide.

Fashion plays an increasingly important role in an individual's life because it is considered as a means of self-expression. The garments and accessories that women wear, help them to identify with a group of others-whether it is a lifestyle, profession, a religion, or an attitude. Thus, the term "fashion" has become synonymous with the overall growth of country as well.

Several factors contribute to the evolution of fashion as a whole. It is a widely accepted fact that the rich and the famous, and the political figures and royalty have always moved the seasonal trends of fashion. The advertising media also contributes equally to update us about the daily style checks.

Evolution of Fashion in India

Fashion in India, a land rich in culture and tradition, has evolved through the centuries. This country, rich in culture represents a kaleidoscope of changing trends and traditions. Here, clothes perform different functions depending on the occasion. Be it festivals, parties, profession, or just a matter of reflecting attitude...fashion is simply 'in'.

Right from women who sport a dash of vermilion in the parting of their hair, to professionals on the go who wield the ladle and the laptop with equal ease, fashion forms an integral part of their lives. Today, fashion, for women, does not necessarily mean glamor, or the urge to follow the current trends. It is more a way of life, a reflection of inner beauty, where the intellect shines through, complete with comfort quotient.

Fashion not only highlights the social history and the needs of women, but also the overall cultural aesthetic of the various periods. The evolution of fashion dates back to several hundred years and as our attitude and culture change, fashion comes along with it.

In India, the fashion scenario was different in different political periods. During the British rule in India, the fashion trend within high society was strongly influenced by the British fashion style and western clothes became a status symbol in India.

Again during 1930s, emergence of different ideologies like communism, socialism and fascism imparted a more feminine and conservative touch to the women's fashion. However the period also witnessed the predominance of body hugging dresses with dark shades. The foundation of the Indian cinema also proved to be the strongest influence on revolutionizing the fashion scene in those days.

1940s was a decade marked by the second World War and the ensuing independence of India. Hence the period portrayed relatively simple yet functional women's clothing. During 1950s, the advent of art colleges and schools led to popularity of narrow waist and balloon skirts with bouncing patterns. Also, the adoption of khadi by Mahatma Gandhi made khadi garments a rage among women.

In the 1960s, the sweeping changes in fashion and lifestyle resulted in highly versatile fashion trends. In 1970s, the traditional material were exported in bulk to other nations. Thus, excess of export materials were sold within the country itself, which resulted in popularity of international fashion in India.

During 1980s and 90s, the advent of television and other advertising means gave a new edge to the Indian fashion scene. Influenced by ideas of several foreign designers, new design & pattern were introduced into garments. During these periods, power dressing and corporate look were the style statement.
The revival of ethnicity was also witnessed in these decades.

Evolution of Fashion in the West

Fashion is an ever changing process and may vary considerably within a society according to age, social class, generation, occupation and geography as well as over time. In the West, fashion had different forms at different times. In Europe, fashion emerged as an idea of personal statement in the 16th century. Since then there were several ups and downs in the fashion industry. In fact, highly prosperous societies in the world, offer different types of fashion options to choose from the clothes as well as accessories.

Various style statements were in vogue during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) in the west. "Victorian fashion" usually refers to fashion clothing popular in the Victorian era.

Fashionable garments for women started with a straight, regency silhouette, consisting of exaggerated skirts and sleeves. This was followed by small shoulders and slightly wider skirts supported by hoops or crinolines. Thus, with changing time period, the fashion scene kept on changing.

It has been further observed that fashion houses, fashion designers, along with high-status consumers like celebrities were the determining factors of change in fashion trends in various Western countries. In fact, fashion clothing started spreading from the upper classes to the middle and working classes in the West.

With advancements in the communication means, fashion shifted to various parts of the world and the traditional clothing styles of various continents like Asia, Africa and the US were superseded by the European style. In addition to that, the gradual growth of national economies led to the globalisation of international fashion styles.

Fashion Industrial Overview

The fashion industry is one of the most exciting, fascinating industries. No other industry is as glamorous or creative. To understand how this industry works, let's take a look at the following.

What is fashion?

For some women, fashion is a way of life. It reflects their personality, their attitude, their approach towards life, and their lifestyle. A closer look tells us that it refers to a particular style of clothing which is worn by people on a national/international level.

Fashion is not restricted to clothing alone. Anything with a touch of class, and a hint of the extraordinary, something that catches the eye instantly, and is visually appealing, is fashionable. Thus, fashion is a phenomenon that continues to change women's lives all over the world. Today women have access to a wider range of fashionable clothes, accessories and gadgets which they would not even have dreamed of, a decade or two ago.

Over the years, women have embraced fashion to project themselves the way they want to. Whatever women wear or use today, is a matter of great speculation and scrutiny. Fashion has entered all arenas of women's lives, right from veiled hats to high-heeled shoes. Their fashion consciousness, and the need for fresh, new concepts and ideas from time to time has given the fashion industry a major boost.

Fashion is revealing on an individualistic level. Fashion provides an insight as to who a person is. It also lends an insight of the idealistic goals of what one aspires to be. Women's fashion defines ethnicity or occupation too. Some people feel it is not necessary to follow the latest fad in order to appear fashionable. Fashion is a personal expression of attitude, mood, status, or an individualistic concept of style.

Fashion trends
A fashion trend can be described as the current style being followed at any given point of time. Fashion trends keep changing from time to time. This ever-changing quality makes it a challenging, dynamic industry. What is considered 'hot' today, is not 'happening' two months, or maybe a year down the line. Fashion thrives on the process of identifying the intangible needs of women on a global level, and materializing these very needs into trends.

The Crafty Kaftans

Kaftan or Caftan is an extremely trendy fashion garment which can be boasted about its comfort quotient. With the long flowing sleeves and loose fitting measurements, kaftans prove a cool trendy garment for scotching and tacky summers.

Most of the women around the world like kaftans for their versatility and comfort. It does not necessarily has to be floor length as is the case with the age old traditional kaftan style. These are now a days available as per the changing fashion trends and styles. Slim fitting, figure hugging kaftans are quite popular among the fasionistas. Be it a beach, house or even a red carpet event, kaftans can be carried anywhere any time with little variations.

The emergence of kaftans as a trendy outfit is aptly mirrored in an eminent fashion personality's qoute that “the comeback of kaftans has swamped the sarong and overpowered the pareo to become the mainstay of the holiday wardrobe”.

As mentioned earlier, kaftans are available in all shapes and sizes. One can get a short one to team it up with denims or skirt while at the same time one can also go for the long floor length kaftans which add on to the grace and femininity of the entire look.

Short tunic style kaftans over beach wears help camouflage the flabs or extra flesh gracefully. Lengthy sleeves with low V-neckline work well for women with larger bust and flabby arms. Though clinched waists and figure hugging cuts look beautiful on reasonably fit females.

Like any other dress, kaftans too can be piled up with your favorite accessories. Chunky bracelets, big wide belts, and beautiful necklaces can be teamed up with it to get the perfect trendy look. Besides, large shades and oversized bags go well with it too.

Fashion and Accessories

Fashion and Accessories
Fashion is a means of self-expression. It is commonly used to describe a style of clothing, something that we deal with everyday. The clothes we wear help us to identify ourselves with a group of others like a lifestyle, a profession, a religion, or an attitude. One thing that is constant about fashion is change. A new season brings new changes, new styles. At times the old styles become fashionable and the present style becomes outdated and there is a continued rotation.

When we talk about fashion, it covers not only clothing but also shoes, bags, body art, hair products, jewelry, beauty products and other accessories. Fashion and accessories go hand in hand. When we talk about fashion accessories, we usually think about jewelry. But accessories cover a whole lot more than that. Fashion accessories help in highlighting the apparel that you wear and meant to change your entire look.

Accessories can transform you from a simple girl to glamorous babe just by using few items. These items can complement the whole outfit. They are used both by men and women to add detail and some style to their outfit. From shoes to handbags to beaded jewelry to belts to shawls and scarves to sunglasses, accessories catch the eye and make your clothes and you more attractive and appealing. Fashion accessories today form the base of any fashion store or department. This industry is growing everyday. New products are coming into the market and youngsters are willing to experiment with the latest styles.

Fashion accessories besides adding a splash of class, color and style to an outfit and look, also have practical functionality. For instance, handbags are used for carrying small utility items, hats protect the face and head from harsh weather conditions, gloves keep the hands warm, footwear protects the feet and so on. Fashionable clothing and fashion accessories constitute today's fashion trends and provide an opportunity to express one's individual identity.

Maintaining a Formal Shirt

 formalwhiteshirt

A formal white shirt is a classic piece of clothing which is a must have for every ideal wardrobe. It is all the more essential for working women as they can use their favorite white shirt with various lowers like skirts, denims, trousers or cotton pants at office. Though the issue with white shirts is that they call for proper maintenance so that it remain spotlessly clean and wearable till a reasonable period of time. The three main aspects involved in maintaining clothes i.e. washing, ironing and storage have to be attended more cautiously in case of a white shirt. Here are few tips which can help all the ladies take proper care of their favorite formal shirt and stay impeccably stylish all through out.

Washing
  • Experts recommend washing the white shirts rather than getting them dry-cleaned. The chemicals used for dry cleaning are more harsh on a white cloth than the effect of rubbing it with hands.
  • One can keep the shirt look ultra-bright with the help of special detergents formulated for whites.
  • The golden rule of washing whites is to wash them separately, away from colored clothes.
  • Fabric bleach is another great option to have spotless whites.
  • In case one tends to sweat a lot, then one can avoid the deodorant or perspiration marks by sewing some garment guard patches on the underarms.
Formal White Shirt
Ironing
  • Crumples tend to appear more on a white shirt, hence, a steam iron should be used for a crease free shirt. Steam iron is better than other irons as it moistens the cloth and provides perfect finesse while ironing cotton clothes.
  • Before ironing a white shirt, make sure that the base of your iron is neat and clean or else it would leave mark on your spotless white shirt.
  • Never put an iron on the fabric at a particular point, for more than few seconds as it can end up leaving heat marks on it.
Storing
  • Try to use wooden hangers for hanging your clothes as it would maintain a proper shape of shirt.
  • Group the whites together away from colored clothes or else the other colors might rub off on the white shade.
  • One should not cram the clothes tightly into the wardrobe, specially the shirts as it can damage the make of collar and cuff of the shirt.
