New Fashion Trend

Rad Or Bad: Extreme Bell-Bottoms

Remember when you finally made the switch from flares to skinny jeans? No more dirty hems, no more tucking your pants into boots, no more feeling like a hobo when wearing something bigger on top. But the fashion wheels keep on turning, and it seems that bell-bottoms are making a comeback once again. But these aren't necessarily those leg-slimming wide-legged jeans that make everyone's backend look like Jane Birken's. In these past few seasons, bell-bottoms have turned up in stretch jersey, patterned with plaids and tie-dyes, and are so voluminous they could act as de facto tents. Are you ready to look back fondly on the early '00s trend, or should we hope that this piece of flare remains exclusively in our old photo albums?

We've rounded up some of our favorite archer-inspired goodies that will have you looking sharp without resembling a street sign. So pack up your bow and quiver—we're going hunting for arrows!

Are Man Heels Rad Or Bad?

Hold onto your heels, ladies—there's a new customer in town. Men have been wearing heels for as long as we women have, from the imperial courts of ancient China to the gilded halls of Versailles. And it seems like as women's shoes are getting higher, men's shoes are also adding on a few inches. We're of the camp that's all about a little stacked heel on a classic-looking boot—anything strappier or skinnier, and man heels start looking a little campy. Whether it's Zac Posen's subtle dog walking shoes to one Fashion Week goer's towering Nina Riccis, there's a height for every dude out there. But are we just too wacky? Can you not get enough of meels, or are they just unappetizing?

Throw it over a longer shirt—This is the perfect opportunity to wear your completely buttoned-up shirt. A cropped sweatshirt in a thicker fabric can make a longer shirt worn underneath look neat.

A New Take On The Colorblock Trend

This spring is all about a color revival. and we are currently loving multi-hued pieces that mix blocks of color in a way that's more interesting than your usual Mondrian homage. But like any bold trend, there are a few things to keep in mind to avoid disaster. Instead of sticking to the old primary color trio and coming off too retro-y, try mixing pastel shades with neons and saturated jewel-tones for a modern take on our old colorblock friend. Also, make sure to add blacks and neutrals to the palette to keep from looking like a Rubik's cube, and steer clear of pieces that chop up your body into too many separate sections (stick to three colorways, tops!). So before you go reaching for that little black dress, check out some of our favorite polychromatic pieces to liven up your spring wardrobe.

Stylish Marijuana Moments In Fashion

Let's be honest: Dreaming up new designs each season sometimes warrants a extra stroke of inspiration. So, it shouldn't be surprising that the mean, green bud has been popping up in places beyond the inner pocket of all those Alex Wang clutches. We took note of the pot-leaf motif dancing down Sonia Rykiel and Gerlan Jeans' runways and popping up in the kaleidoscopic funhouse of Lucien Pellat Finet. In celebration of today's holiday, we hashed out some buys, so you can get your own cannabis prints and herbal sprays, which are all a helluva lot chicer than stinky hemp ponchos. It seems like Mary J's quickly becoming the new It Girl with these kush-inspired offerings to really light up your day.
